ONTRAC was developed by the Nevada Department of Education in collaboration with the Clark County School District. ONTRAC is an online survey designed to assess your skills in the uses of computer technology, and in the integration of technology into the curriculum. The survey results will guide your school, district, and the state in designing effective professional development in computer technology and curriculum integration. Additionally, ONTRAC survey results will assist you in determining the types of technology training most appropriate for you. Your personal information and survey results will be kept strictly confidential. Only you will be able to view your individual survey results. School-wide composite as well as aggregate scores will be made available at the school, district, and state level. Upon completion of the survey you may view your results as a graph and a table indicating your strengths and identifying areas for further professional development. Scores are correlated to the ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) standards for teachers as well as the Nevada State Technology Standards. The survey has two main sections: 1) curriculum integration of technology, and 2) computer skills. In the curriculum integration section you will be asked to select items that indicate your beliefs and practices with respect to your use of technology in the classroom. The computer skills section will assess your knowledge of computer components and applications. This section is divided into five short focus areas: including, fundamentals, publishing, data management, communications, and research.
